Wayne Skotheim of Melville, SK and formerly of Crooked Lake, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the age of 73 years.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; his children Heidi (Dean) Assman, Anne-Marie (Brent) Ireland and Hanson Skotheim (Megan Mueller); his step-children Keith Schutz, Cory (Shelley) Schutz and Wanda (Adam) Mohr; his grandchildren Anders Ireland, Alexandra (Anthony Dales) Dekker, Mitchell Assman, Drew Dekker, Eric Assman, and Scott Assman; his step-grandchildren Rebecca Mohr, Dakota Schutz, Joshua Schutz, Austin Mohr, Dallas Schutz, Jordan Schutz, and Teagan Schutz; siblings Arlene (Bill) Davitt, Ken (Judy) Skotheim, Gary (Beverly) Skotheim, Sharon (Richard) Hornung; Peder Skotheim, Donald (Sandra) Skotheim, Sandra Beckman and Marilyn (Dale) Scott; sisters-in-law Marjorie Skotheim and Carol (Ray) Mathies; brother-in-law Dennis Assman; numerous nieces and nephews, their spouses and families. He was predeceased by his parents Peder and Alvina Skotheim; his first wife Valorie Skotheim; his daughter Jennifer and husband Mark Dekker and infant twins David and Jonathan Skotheim; his brother Harvey Skotheim; and a sister-in-law, Donna Skotheim.

Wayne was a hard-working, admirable and dependable man. He lived life to the fullest including music, outdoor activities, and was very athletic. He loved having people around but also treasured his private moments. Wayne had a great sense of humour and liked to make jokes about his Norwegian heritage. He will be forever remembered and missed by all who loved him.

The funeral service was held at Good Shepherd Church, Melville, SK on Thursday, February 12, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. Special thanks to all the health care staff in Melville and Regina, and family and friends for their continued support during Wayne's journey.
