Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen’s Home, Carbonear on Sunday, February 8, 2015, Winnifred A. Traverse of Kingston, age 92 years. Predeceased by husband: Richard; son: Alex; daughter: Elizabeth; granddaughter: Sara Beth; sisters: Johanna and Minnie; brother: Joey. Left to mourn, four daughters: Madeline (Raymond) King, Kingston, Mary (Sylvester) Woodfine, Gull Island, Catherine (Junior) Sellars and Bernadette (Bruce) Millley, both of Western Bay; seven sons: Joseph (Margaret) and Michael, both of Kingston, Kevin (Carol Ann), Buchans, Anthony (Karen LeGrow), Broad Cove, David (Theresa) and Gerard (Beverly), both of Small Point, Edward (Cynthia), Bay Roberts; twenty-four grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; sister: Kathleen Hurley, Toronto, ON; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay. Fr. Michael Barker conducted the funeral mass on Wednesday, February 11 from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Kingston. Interment took place in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Kingston. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
