The death occurred peacefully with family at her side at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, February 13, 2015, of Hazel Gallant (nee Doiron), beloved wife of Lawrence, of the Garden Home, and formerly of Mayfield, aged 81.
Hazel was the loving mother of Alice Gallant (Jerry) and Susie Buote (Donnie); special Nannie (grandmother) to Luandra Gallant, Tara Cutler (Chris) and Cody Buote; and great-grandmother to Caitlin, Landon and Kellan. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret; her brothers, Edward and Joseph; several sisters and brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Hazel was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mary Alice (Gallant) Doiron; daughter, Mary Alice; son, Clarence; grandson, Joshua; sisters, Beatrice Doiron, Mary Earley, Louise Bell and Jennie Doiron; and her brothers, George and Allison.
The funeral for Hazel Gallant has been rescheduled to Saturday at 1 p.m. at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow. Due to severe allergies, please refrain from wearing scented products.
