MAHANEY, Lawrence George, 66, Sandy Point, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Friday, February 13, 2015. Born in Shelburne he was a son of the late William and Jean (Cameron) Mahaney. Lawrence was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He had many varied occupations and interests during his working career. Lawrence had a passion for sailing and photography. Following his retirement he took a keen interest in gardening. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; sons, Christopher (Crystal); Steven (Marigold); grand-daughter, Katie Rose Lynn; sisters, Joan (George) Yeaton; Nancy (Burnley) Atkinson. He was predeceased by daughter, Sherri Lynn. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Shelburne. No visitation by request. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, February 18 at 2 p.m. in H.M. Huskilson`s Funeral Home, Shelburne with Rev. Joanne McFadden officiating.
