HOLLINGSWORTH
Joan Clouston
Aug. 21, 1932 - Feb. 15, 2015
It is with enormous sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother Joan Hollingsworth (nee Clouston) of Montreal, Quebec who died suddenly from complications of emphysema at her winter home in Highland Beach, Florida on Sunday, February 15, 2015. She was 82. For almost 62 years Mom and Dad wrote a love story that was unparalleled. From starting a family to building a business, from travelling the world to retirement life in Florida, they were inseparable. Dad is left to mourn his beautiful wife until the day they see each other again in heaven. She took care of her husband and children in the only way she knew how..."selflessly". Her husband Bert, her children Lorri (Brian Sherratt), Alan (Rita Pelaia) and Cathy (Al Leslie) as well as her grandchildren Adam, Sean and Mattison were her life and she showered them every day with love and generosity. Mom was a busy person, always on the go. In her younger days she spent a lot of time as the secretary for the Lakeshore General Hospital Volunteers. She also kept busy with the Pointe-Claire Kinettes service club even serving as their President. She also spent many a year working in the family business (Clouston Foods Canada Ltd) as an executive assistant. We will miss her terribly! Mom often said that "the only thing I make for dinner is reservations". Well...a seat has been reserved for her at the great banquet in heaven and she is now eagerly waiting for us all. I love you darling! We love you Mommy! Visitation at the Kane and Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd., (corner Isabella) on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Saturday at Ascension of Our Lord Parish, 375 Kitchener St., Westmount, from 10 - 11:00 a.m., immediately followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Lung Association (lung.ca) in her name would be appreciated. Condolences may be received at www.kanefetterly.com.
