Manuel, Florence Joyce “Flo”, 71 of Westville, passed away Feb. 18, 2015 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Stellarton, she was a daughter of the late Wallace and Margaret Ellen “Peg” (Cameron) MacDonald.
Florence was a former employee of Bargain Harolds, Dollar Bills, Cost-U-Less and Bi-way as well as a past Red Cross Volunteer.
She is survived by a daughter Joni (Scott), Stellarton; daughter in law Raeanne, Kelowna, B.C.; grandchildren Kaylee, Emily, Mason, Brooke, Christopher, Megan and Tommy; 5 step-grandchildren Chester, Katie, Jacob, Brianna, Kelsea; 4 step-great-grandchildren Liam, Lawrena, Dawson and Dominic, a brother Art MacDonald, McLellans Brook; brother-in-law Babe Mason, Stellarton; special nieces and nephews, best friend Donna Logan, many cousins and very dear friends, and extended families in B.C. and Washington.
Florence was predeceased by a son Kevin, ex-husband and friend Lawrence, sisters Shirley Mason, Joan Reekie, brother–in-law Harry Reekie.
Her remains will rest at the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton for visiting from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton with Father Peter MacDonald presiding. A reception will follow in the parish hall.
Cremation to follow service.
Burial of ashes will take place in the parish cemetery at a later date.
