Mary Theresa (Lovie) Pyke
We, the daughters of the late Mary Theresa (Lovie) Pyke, wish to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to our families, friends and neighbors for their love and support during this difficult time. Words cannot express our thanks and appreciation for the overwhelming compassion and kindness shown to us and all the wonderful things said about our mother. We send thanks to those who sent flowers, cards and food; for those who visited our home, phoned, emailed and travelled to be here with us; and to those who made donations in mom’s memory, your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated. Special mention and thanks to Debbie for all your time and support, to Alison and Lynn for your thoughtfulness and help at the house and to Tanya for her loving support. Sincere thanks, to Holy Family Parish, Father Tom, the choir, and to Andrew Doyle for singing a few of mother’s favorite songs. Sincere thanks to all nurses that attended the service, and a very special thank-you to the Honor Guards. Special thanks to Debbie and Mary Louise for reading; Matthew and Jacob for carrying the gifts, Katherine, Marina, Lesley, Leah and Hannah for reciting the beautiful poem and to all the pallbearers for carrying mom home. Thank-you to the CWL Ladies Auxiliary for the beautiful lunch served after the service. Sincere thanks to Dr. Faith Dodd for your care and to Dr. Paul MacDonald at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital; the CCU unit (especially Molly and Glenda) and to the Chaplin who spent time with us. A very special thank-you to Dr. Michel McKeough for the years of care you provided our mother. Sincere thanks to Manning, Erika and Ian of J.M. Jobes Funeral Home in Sydney Mines.
