Catherine passed peacefully away at Western Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was loved and respected by many and was the glue that kept her own families in contact. Her kind ways will always be remembered with all who she encountered. Predeceased by her Husband of 61 years, Douglas McIsaac, her parents, Thomas and Jessie Murphy (Power); Brothers: Thomas Murphy, William Murphy, Ed Murphy (Ann), Dan Murphy (Geraldine), Ray Murphy, Ronald Hall (Jean), Ted Hall, Bob Hall; Sisters: Bess Rielly (Pat); Brothers in Law: Carl Slaunwhite, Ziggy Ahrens; Sister in Law: Dorothy Lavallee. Special Aunt Mary (Min) Moore. Leaving to Mourn: Daughter: Michelle (Martin); Sons: Paul (Cynthia), Douglas Jr., Thomas (Bev); Grandchildren: DJ (Susan), Jonathan (Shea), Catherine (Edward), Scott, Katelyn; Great Grandchildren: Zurich and Emma; Brothers: Jack Murphy (Bet), Hubert Hall (Marie); Sisters: Loretta Slaunwhite, Rose Ahrens; Sisters in Law: Marg Murphy, Shirley Murphy, Rita Hall, Doris Hall; Brothers in Law: Bob Murray (Joan) and several cousins, nieces and nephews. To Special family members: Pat Moore (Chris), Caroline Mosher (Blair) and Brooklyn, she cherished your care and devotion to the very end.
Catherine leaves a wide circle of prized friends that she cherished to the very end, including; Lorraine, Priscilla, Rose, Marg, Kay, Jean, Gertie and Hope. Many of these friendships spanned 50 years. Ever remembered for the loving care provided goes to the staff at Western Memorial Hospital, Dr. Sidky and Staff on 3B and to her family doctor, Dr. R. Ennis for his kind and gentle ways. Cremation has taken place under the care of Fillatre's Funeral Home and visitations will take place on Tuesday, February 24th from 7:00 - 9:00 PM, and on Wednesday, February 25th from 10:00 - 12:00. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 25th at 2:00 PM at the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer with Father Terry officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arthritis Society of Newfoundland and Labrador of Newfoundland Labrador and/or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador.
