LEGER, VITAL
Vital Leger, 90, husband, father and grandfather passed to a peaceful place on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Villa du Repos in Moncton where he resided for the past nine years with the illness of Alzheimer. Born November 3, 1924 in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Andre and Emilie (Cormier) Leger.
He was a self-employed contractor in Moncton until his retirement. He had the love of people. Always with a smile, he was a very caring and giving person; he always instilled importance of working with people and getting along, throughout his entire life. One of his passions was music and dancing. Every weekend whenever possible they would meet with friends, and enjoying the moment. He spent a lot of time at the Cathedral to give a helping hand whenever needed. His passions were holidays and special events, and most important being with his family. Most times, he would just sit and watch everyone with one of his smiles, these were the greatest moments in his life. He worked hard all his life to provide for his family. We will never forget what he did for us.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Alice (LeBlanc) of Moncton; four children: Leandre (Diane), Claire MacNevin (David) and Linda Weatherbie (Monty), all of Moncton, and Paulette (Mike) of Bolton, MA; two sisters: Marguerite LeBlanc (late Raymond) of Saint-Antoine and Mathilda Cyr (late Conrad) of Sudbury, ON; one brother, Roger (late Dolorese) of Sudbury, ON; one sister-in-law, Corinne Leger of Sudbury, ON; his five grandchildren whom he cherished: Ryan, Lori, Chantal, Alex and Justin; one great-granddaughter, Emilie, as well as many niece and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters: Andrea and Lorraine; three brothers: Omer, Joffre and Noel; two children: Joseph and Annette; one granddaughter, Pierrette and one son-in-law, Neil.
