With broken hearts we announce the passing of our dearly beloved brother at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, on Sunday, March 1, 2015, Douglas Chafe, age 54. He was surrounded by his loving family who will forever miss his unique and special ways. Predeceased by his parents Norman and Mary; brothers: Robert and Kevin; nephew, Corey Collins, and Aunt Alice Ryan. Leaving to mourn, his sisters: Laura (Wally Collins), Ros (Robert Tracey), Marg (Eugene Richard), Kim (Pernell Mouland), Roxanne (Melvin Mouland); brothers: Gerald (Eva), Ronnie (Maureen), David, Norman (Jacqueline), Fred (Margie) and Carl (Lori); sister-in-law, Sandra; as well as many nieces and nephews (especially Melissa and JT - whom he loved so dearly), many relatives and friends including his very good friend Darrin Harding and his extended family at Vera Perlin, where he spent many happy years. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Monday, March 2, from 1pm-9pm, and on Tuesday, March 3, from 10am-9pm. Funeral mass will be held from Corpus Christi Parish on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at 9:30am with interment to follow at Roman Catholic Cemetery, Kilbride.
