It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bruce Simms announce his passing on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at his residence, 75 Valley Road in Corner Brook at the age of 63 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his sisters: Shirley and Jean; brother David (Neta); nephews and families: Steven, Brian (Jennifer) and great niece Mackenzie; Christopher (April) and great nephew Preston and great niece Jordan; Darren (Melanie) and great nephew Caleb; aunts Ruby Neil, Edna Flight and special aunt Olive King; as well as a large circle of cousins, other relatives and friends; also special pets Max and Milo. He was predeceased by his parents Herbert and Eliza Simms and special uncle Harvey Simms. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Saturday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre's Funeral Chapel, St. Mark's Avenue with The Very Rev. Baxter Park officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium with interment to take place in the spring.
