It is with heavy hearts that the family of Wayne Lyon announces his peaceful passing on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at the age of 68 years. Left to mourn, with fond and loving memories, are his beloved wife, Jessie (nee Collins); two children; daughter, Colette and son, Christopher (Tashia); two grandsons; Austin and Jonathan; mother, Jean; four brothers; Ken (Theresa), Philip, Donny (Irene), and Paul (Karen) and one sister, Patty (Peter). Left to mourn, also, are a large number of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Wayne was predeceased by his father Harry. He was a devoted, selfless husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, a warm and compassionate man known for his kind and gentle spirit. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Visitation will take place at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander, on Tuesday, from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, from 2- 4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Wayne's life will take place on Thursday, March 12th, at 2 p.m. at Gander Victory Church, 271 Magee Road.
