CARTER, Reginald John –Passed away suddenly at his home in Petty Harbour on January 18, 2009, at the age of 81. Predeceased by his parents Roland and Leila, stepfather Howard Chafe, sisters: Gwen, Beryl, Peg and brother David. Leaving to mourn are his loving wife of 57 years, Mildred; sons: Boyd (Connie) of Ontario and Rex (Linda); daughter Susan; sisters: Ruth (Arlie) Vick, of Arizona and Linda (Dieter) Chafe Plautz of Ontario; brothers: Clyde (Diana) Chafe of Ontario and Douglas (Joan) Chafe of Ontario; grandchildren: Jennifer (Matthew) Chafe, Heather, David, Christopher, Amanda, Kendra and Meagan; great-grandchildren: Breanna and Lucas; special friends: George and Joan Chafe of Petty Harbour; also other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral services will be held from St. George’s Anglican Church, Petty Harbour on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow.
