Theresa Pearl Ginn

Born In: Sydney Mines
Born: April 10th, 1952

Passed in: Florence
Passed on: March 11th, 2015

It is with deepest sadness and regret that we, the children of Theresa Pearl Ginn, announce the peaceful passing of our mom, nanny, sister, aunt and friend, on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at the Northside General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Sydney Mines on April 10, 1952, she was the youngest child of the late Joseph and Rebecca (Clarke) Williams.
Mom was a stay at home mother devoting her life to her loving children and later grandchildren, always putting the needs of them far above her own. For the past 16 years, prior to taking a stroke, she dedicated her time to helping care for her special little angel, Terri-Lynn, who she affectionately called “her little troublemaker.” Mom also had a love for animals, especially cats. She’d always be found feeding the neighbourhood cats, and playing with Joey’s kitties.
Mom is survived by her three children, Cheryl Strong, Sydney Mines, Lisa (Terry) Penny, who was like a son to Mom, Florence, and Joey (Lisa MacLean), Florence. Also surviving are her five grandchildren, whom she thought the world of, Ashley (Kyle), Terri-Lynn and Andrew Penny, Tiffany (Alan) and Brianne Strong and two great-grandchildren, MacKenzie and Summer. She is also survived by brothers and sisters, Carlotta Corbett, Joe (Geraldine), Bridget (Francis Marinelli) Dawe, and Tommy (Hazel), all from Sydney Mines, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband and father of her children, Lester Strong in 1988, and her second husband Dennis Ginn in 2008, several brothers and sisters in infancy, and brothers-in-law, James Corbett and Thomas Dawe.
There will be no visitation. A celebration of her life will take place Saturday, March 14, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Trinity Anglican Church, Sydney Mines, with Rev. Stacey LeMoine officiating. A reception will be held in Grandy Hall, after the service.
Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com.
