It is with great sadness that the family of Anita Mary LeBlanc age 93 of Amherst and formerly of Springhill announce her passing on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS.
Born in Minto, NB she was a daughter of the late William and Mary Jane (Robichaud) Bourgeois.
Anita had a passion for playing cards, loved gardening and bowling. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
She leaves to mourn her children Annette Dugas of Mexico, Maine, USA, Larry (Janey) of Kamloops, BC, Edna Wilson of Amherst, Norman (Marty) of Kitchener, ON, Alice Boss of Amherst and Abbey of Powell River, BC, 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson, one sister Eva Melanson of Gardner, Mass. USA and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Anita was predeceased by her husband Abbey, son Ernest and 11 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2015 from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. all at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Amherst.
Father Vernon Driscoll will officiate.
Interment will take place at a later date in the North Street Cemetery, Springhill.
Memorial donations in Anita’s memory may be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society.
