BENNETT, TIMOTHY ALFRED
It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Tim Bennett of Oromocto, NB on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. He was born in Fredericton, NB on February 1, 1962 to Mary “Kay” (Muise) and the late Gordon “Busher” Bennett.
Tim will be most remembered for his love of his family and for being a dedicated and loving husband and father. He was also very proud of his military career, serving for 32 years, being well known and loved by his many colleagues.
Tim will be sadly missed by his wife, Jill (Wood); son, Benjamin of Kingston, ON; mother, Kay (Muise) Bennett of Oromocto, NB; brother, Blair Bennett (Debbie) of North Bay, ON; sister, Cathy Fraser (James) of Guelph, ON and of course… Sadie. Tim is also survived by several special friends and numerous extended family members.
He was predeceased by his father, Gordon.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. D. Gowan and the palliative care team at the DECRH, the Extra Mural nurses and the base hospital medical and pharmacy teams.
Visitation will be held at St. Luke’s Chapel, CFB Gagetown on Monday, March 16, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Luke’s Chapel on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 11:00 am. Padre John Hounsell-Drover and Padre Charles Deogratias will officiate. Interment will take place at a later date in the Oromocto Pioneer Gardens.
For those who wish memorial tributes in Tim’s memory may be made to the DECRH Palliative Care Unit or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
