REID, William R. –Passed peacefully away surrounded by his wife and loving and caring family at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s, on Sunday, January 18, 2009, William R. Reid of Paradise, formerly of Job’s Cove, age 79 years. Predeceased by parents William and Susie Maude Reid; brother Gilbert. Leaving to mourn wife Sarah Naomi; two daughters: Connie (Doug) Penney, St. John’s and Ann (Craig) Olford, Mount Pearl; two sons: Harold (Barb), Angus, Ont. and Wade (June), Paradise; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother Dave (Rose) Reid, Lower Island Cove; one sister Florence (Clarence) Buckler, Northern Bay; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove after 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 20. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, January 21 at 2 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove. Interment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Job’s Cove.
