Our family was overwhelmed with support after the death of ‘Grandmere’, Beatrice Delaney. We thank each and every person who sent a card, flowers, food, memorial donations, mass cards, online condolences and offered their assistance. It was such a comfort to know that Grandmere had touched so many lives in her life. Thank you to those who travelled to Belle Cote, Grandmere’s second home, during the wake; to those who attended the beautiful mass at Holy Redeemer Church, Sydney and also to the many family members who could not travel but were there in spirit. Thank you to Father Paul Murphy and Father Martin MacDougall who officiated the mass.
Many thanks to Bill Curry and staff, the C.W.L and choir of Holy Redeemer, and the volunteers at the Belle Cote and Area Community Centre who helped guide the family through this difficult time with ease and comfort.
Thank you to Father Peter LeBlanc and the caring staff at Foyer Pere Fiset, Cheticamp, where Grandmere resided for the past year. Thank you to Dr. Michel Chiasson and the staff at Cheticamp Sacred Heart Hospital who showed such kindness and compassion while taking care of Grandmere.
Grandmere would have been so proud of her grandsons, who served as pall bearers: Roger, Mark, Shawn, Dean, Andrew and Gregory. She also would have loved that her granddaughters Trena, Lisa, Ashley, Pamela and Danielle read and presented the offertory during mass, and that her goddaughter, Wilma Pasher, served as Eucharistic minister.
