EUREKA – Paul Leslie MacKinnon, age 61 of Eureka, Pictou County, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2015 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Charles and Ava (Adams) MacKinnon.
Paul was a resident of Eureka for the past 33 years. He was well known for his art work and his creativity. During his working career he was a rural route mail driver as well as being on casual maintenance at Valley View Villa. He was an adherent of St. Columba United Church, Hopewell. Paul’s greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife the former Clara Proudfoot; sons, Adam, Halifax; Kevin (Veronica), Stellarton; daughters: Alah (Troy), Hopewell; Joy McKeigan, Halifax; grandchildren: Brennen, Jachai, Damek, Jordan, Hayden, Brenden and Tenleigh; a brother, Sydney, Ottawa; a sister, Jacqueline, Alberta.
He was predeceased by a brother Chuck.
The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. from St. Columba United Church with Rev. Bonnie Fraser officiating. Burial will be in the Riverton Cemetery at a later date. A reception will follow the service in the church hall.
