My friend, my mentor, my father.

Morris passed away peacefully in his sleep early on the morning of March 13, 2015. Born December 5, 1932 in White Sands PEI he led a life of simplicity, humility, integrity, and honour, on his own terms, that should serve as a reminder to us all what our real purpose in life should be. His kind and gentle nature will be missed by many. He leaves behind a legacy of genuine care and compassion that has informed generations of our family, near and far.

Morris is survived by his son William Derby and his daughter in-law Kara Derby along with his sisters June (Erroll) Lund and Dorothy Tamblyn and his brother William Derby. Morris is predeceased by his father William and mother Marjorie, his brother Ralph, his wife Connie, and his beloved granddaughter Alexis Derby. So many family and friends, whose lives he touched, are feeling his absence.

There will be no service or memorial, that was not his way, but we should all take a few minutes from time to time to reflect how he helped each of us on our way. If it suits you personally feel free to make a donation to your favorite charity in his name.
