On Thursday, March 19, 2015, Frank Gosse of Whitbourne passed away after a brief stay at Lions Manor Nursing Home (Placentia Health Centre). Born June 25, 1930, the second of twelve children of the late John and Beatrice Gosse, he was predeceased by his son, Ted, brothers, Eddie, John and Sidney and sisters Bertie Buck and Elsie Hendricks. Frank worked with Newfoundland Power for 30 years before retiring in 1985, but continued hunting and fishing and until recent years enjoyed an active way of life. Left with fond and loving memories are his devoted wife of 62 years, Martha Louise, daughters Valerie Warren (Otto), Cathy Spurrell (John), Sherry Pelley (Bruce), sons, Richard (Sandra Luscombe) and Randy (Trina), nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, brothers, Chesley and Edgar, sisters, Ivy Robbins, Margaret King, Linda Gosse and Thelma Christian, and numerous other family and friends. Visitation will be held from Holloway's Funeral Home, 33A Cabot Avenue, Whitbourne on Saturday, March 21, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Sunday, March 22, from 10:00 am to noon, 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral service to be held at St. John the Baptist (Anglican) Church in Whitbourne on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 11:00 am.
