Suddenly at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, January 19, 2009, of George Whitlock of Stratford, age 71 years. Beloved husband of Alice Whitlock (nee Nicholson) and loving father of Kelli (Philip Tweel), Ami (Jason Ettorre) and Melinda (Jason Fall). George is also survived by his grandchildren, Kathlene, Sophia, Philip, Halena and Samira Tweel and Parker and Piper Whitlock, and brothers Desmond Whitlock (Paula) and Lyndon Whitlock (Coleen). He is predeceased by his infant son, Brian; parents, Mary and Parker Whitlock, and sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Alex MacDonald. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation on Wednesday, January 21, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 22, at St. Dunstan’s Basilica at 2 p.m. Interment in Polly Cemetery, Point Prim. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Sisters of St. Martha, for Sr. Aldona Arsenault charitable works would be appreciated.
