Johnson-Smith, Deanna Marie – 49, Calgary and formerly of Truro died peacefully on March 21, 2015 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro surrounded by family. She is survived by her children, Melissa and Jordan, grandchildren, Meleak and Olivia; mother, Elma Loretta Jennings (John Brian) father, Curtis Johnson (Dolly), foster parents, Jane and Gordon Earle, sister Starann; brother Curtis, sister Lisa, step brother Pete; Aunt Dorothy, Uncle Wayne and many nieces and nephews who affectionately called her Auntie Dean as well as many cousins. Deanna dedicated her life to loving children as well as anyone who came into her life. Her spirit was like the horses she loved, wild and free. She will be missed by all who knew her. Deanna’s heart was made of gold. A gathering will take place at the Colchester Community Funeral Home, Truro on Tuesday, March 24 at 7 pm with Rev. Valerie Kingsbury officiating.
