It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Flora Sibley, age 74, of North Sydney on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at the Northside Community Guest Home, North Sydney.
Flora was born in North Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Netta Belle (Anderson) MacDonald.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, North Sydney. In her earlier years, she enjoyed baking, she loved animals and always had pets.
She is survived by her sons, John (Melissa), North Sydney, and Joey, and daughters, Diana Jamieson (Janet), Dutch Brook, Joanne (Jack) Kimm, Victoria, B.C., and Dale, a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Ranald (Ann) MacDonald, Upper North Sydney, her sister Jean MacDonald, North Bay and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers, her husband, Donald, Lauchie, Colin and Allan.
A private family service for Flora will be held under the care and direction of the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney with Rev. Julio Martin officiating. Burial in Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
