KEATING, Isabelle – At the wonderful age of 95, Isabelle Keating of Renews (nee O’Leary of Portugal Cove South). Passed away peacefully on January 19, 2009 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital while in the company of her loving family, following a brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Keating, her son Phillip Keating, and her grandson Wayne Walsh. Isabelle was the youngest and last-surviving child of the eight born to Patrick and Frances (nee Coombs) O’Leary. She will be ever-loved and sadly missed by her children: Genevieve Walsh (Eugene) of Fermeuse, N.L., Mary Frances Keating of Halifax, N.S. and David Keating (Leah) of Paradise, N.L. Isabelle also leaves to mourn her grandchildren and their families: Randy Walsh, Gary Walsh (Tanya), Robbie Walsh (Bonnie), Jeannie Walsh (Randy Ward) and Corey Walsh (Yen); also Marvin Keating, Sherri Lynn Keating (Steven Boire) and their mother Maureen Kenny. In addition, Isabelle has a wide circle of extended family and friends who will miss her greatly. Visitation will be at Fahey’s Funeral Home in Fermeuse, Wednesday, January 21 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday, January 22 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday, January 23 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at Holy Apostles Church in Renews. Interment at Holy Apostles Cemetery in Renews. Gifts of flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Nurse Abernathy Clinic in Trepassey through the Trepassey Lions Club.
