HALL, GORDON FRANKLIN
1919-2015
Gordon Hall of Royal Court, Riverview, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Arnold and Myrtle Gertrude (Harris) Hall.
Gordon was a Veteran of WWII and served overseas at 1(F) Wing RCAF Station, Marville, France, from 1961 -1965. He retired in 1969 as a Flight Sargent from RCAF Station Chatham. Following his retirement, he began a 16 year teaching career in Ottawa and became a member of The Royal Canadian Legion, Bell’s Corner, ON. He was a member of Labanon Forest Masonic Lodge No. 133 F & A.M, G.R.C, Exeter, ON.
He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Brenda (Brian) Duplante of Ottawa, son, Brian Hall (Libby) of Riverview, grandchildren, Jamie (Melanie) of Moncton, Peter (Chelsea) of Riverview and Adam of Huntsville, ON, as well as his great-grandsons, Parker and Jayden.
Besides his parents, Gordon was predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy Hall in 2011 and his brother, Jack of St. Thomas, ON.
The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007) on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00pm. The Riverview Veterans and Armed Forces Assoc. will hold a memorial service Sunday at 3:15pm from the Funeral Home. A service celebrating Gordon’s life will take place from Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 1:00pm with Rev. Steve Berube officiating.
Donations made to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
