We, the family of the late Emily Willena Fahey, extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to our family, friends, and neighbors who gave so generously of their kindness and compassion during the illness and passing of our beautiful mother. To those who sent sympathy and Mass cards, online condolences, brought us food, visited our home, telephoned, emailed, sent floral tributes, traveled to be with us and made memorial donations, thank you. Your many acts of kindness, and support meant so much during this difficult time, and will not be forgotten.
Thank you to Dr. O'Brien for the care you gave Ma for so many years and to all the doctors assisting with Ma's care in recent months. To the nurses and the entire staff of 3rd Floor South at the Glace Bay General Hospital who became such an important part of Ma's daily life),we will be forever grateful for the gentleness, respect and compassion you gave our mother. To Marilyn Coady-Macdonald (Cape Breton Regional Hospital) you always went the “extra mile” to ensure mom’s comfort and contentment, we thank you.
A special thanks to the members of the EHS Staff for treating our wonderful mother with kindness and respect. You became her friend. It was comforting for us to hear you talk and laugh with Ma in the back of the ambulance and we also thank you for visiting her in the hospital during her stay. Your thoughtfulness was noticed and greatly appreciated.
To Father Daniel Boudreau our thanks for the beautiful funeral Mass. Thanks to the 7 Pallbearers (grandsons and son in–laws), St. Joseph’s Church choir, organist, readers and gift bearers, your participation was sincerely appreciated. Thanks to the CWL for providing the lovely lunch at the reception. The special touch of chocolate cake with boiled icing warmed our hearts. A special thanks to Joe Fahey for the beautiful singing during the church reception. We thank the staff at VJ McGillivray Funeral Home for their professionalism and understanding. Thanks to family friend, Jacqui MacIntosh for designing Ma’s “Celebration of Life” program.
