Peacefully at the Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, O'Leary, on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, with her family by her side, of Virginia Mary (Jean) Ellsworth, formerly of Tignish, age 93 years. Born at Tignish, P.E.I., on December 18, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John and Georgina (nee Harper) Gaudet. She was predeceased by her first husband, Russell A'Hearn, and by her second husband, Augustine Ellsworth. Loving mother to: Eleanor (Ivan) Perry of Peterville; Gerard (Tammy) of Toronto; Sharon of Whitby, Ont.; John (Kathy) of Oshawa, Ont.; Sandra (David) of Oshawa, Ont.; Robert (Margie) of Charlottetown; and Karen (Louie) of Ajax, Ontario. She will be sadly missed by her 20 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and by one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her sons, Roy, Howard, Ernie and Claude; her grandson, Chad; great-grandson, Jessie; and by siblings, Maizie, Albertina and Howard. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 3:00 p.m., Rev. Brendon Gallant, Celebrant. Interment later in the Church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, or to the Tignish Seniors Coop Home would be gratefully appreciated. The Tignish Council of the C.W.L. will hold prayers for their departed member Monday evening at 6:45 p.m.
