It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of Loretta Bauer at Harbourstone Enhanced Care Center, on April 2, 2015.
Born in Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Isidore and Annie (MacInnis) Gale. Loretta was the last surviving member of her family. Loretta loved to bake, knit crochet and dance. She also enjoyed a good game of cards and having friends over for a cup of tea and sweets.
She is survived by her children Marie, Lloyd and Murray William (Holly); grandchildren Alana, Loretta, Benjamin and Marina; 10 great grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Murray, Siblings, Matthew, Aiden, John Francis, Tom, Dodie, Michael, Gus, Joe, Mary, Rose, Arthur, Isidore, and Margaret in infancy. Loretta was also predeceased by five great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place, Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at 3 p.m. in the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel 564 Alexandra St. Sydney, with President Jim Kaine officiating.
Interment to take placate a later date in Oakfeild Cemetery.
