LYNDS, STELLA MARIE MADELEINE (DOIRON)
Stella M. M. Lynds (Doiron), 80, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, April 5, 2015. Born in Collette, NB, she was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Georgina (Doucette) Doiron.
Stella was a retired switchboard operator at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital with over 20 years’ service. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing horseshoes, listening to fiddle music and going to family reunions.
Stella will be sadly missed by her husband of 17 years, Fred J. Lynds of Moncton; children, Francine Beaumont (Greg) of Lower Coverdale, Ron Richard (Debbie) of Dieppe, Jack Richard (Bonnie) of Centreville, Susan Doiron (Daniel) of Moncton and Joanne Richard (Bruce) of Stewiacke, NS; stepson, Michael Lynds (Kelly) of Fredericton; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Josie Haché (Ron), Leona Haché (Gerry), Jeannette LeBlanc (Roger), Adeline Martin (Ovila) and Linda Maillet (Andy); brothers, Eloie Doiron (Carol) and Lionel Doiron (Marie); several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Henri Richard (1980) and second husband, Frank Weir (1994); infant son, Edouard Richard; granddaughter, Katie; great-granddaughter, Alexi; brother, Leonard and sisters, Elda and Anita.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to Celebrate Stella’s Life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 10:30 am with Rev. Laurence Quin-Morris presiding. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, in the spring
