It is with sadness that we must announce the passing of Carolyn Jean McDonald, age 71, of Folly Mountain, NS. Carolyn passed away at the Colchester East Hants Regional Health Centre on Friday, April 3, 2015.
Born in Oxford, NS, she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Meletta (Barnes) Williams.
Carolyn was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed gardening, knitting and sketching. She was an avid collector and enjoyed travelling extensively throughout the US and Canada.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Dan McDonald, Folly Mountain, her children Teresa (Rob) White, Edmonton, AB, Debbie (Tony) Smith, Lornevale, NS, and Annette McDonald, Etobicoke, ON; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; siblings Delena (Ernie) Armour, Oxford, Harold (Gerty) Williams, Agincourt, Bill (Joyce) Williams, Belize, Delbert (Ann) Williams, Oxford, Beverley (Vince) Elliott, Toronto, Karen (Tom) McKenna, Toronto, Shirley (Wayne) Jones, Toronto, Jeanette Geddes, several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter Susan McDonald; brother Herbert.
Arrangements have been entrusted to W Allen Funeral Home, 60 Water St., Oxford, NS (902-447-2167) where a memorial service will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 2 pm, Captain Chad Ingram officiating. Burial will take place in the Birch Grove Cemetery at a later date.
