STEEVES, G. AULDEN
G. Aulden Steeves, 89, of ProTem Health Services, and formerly of Mount Royal Blvd., Moncton, with his loving family at his side, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. Born in Lower Coverdale, he was the son of the late Henry and Ina (Downing) Steeves.
Aulden was retired from the Maintenance Department, School District 2 and was a member of First Baptist Moncton. He enjoyed playing cards, doing puzzles, bowling and drives through the countryside.
Aulden will be sadly missed by his wife of 21 years, Thelma (Wood) (Gillcash) Steeves; sons, Grant (Heather) of Moncton, Keith (Angela) of Calgary, AB and Drew (Robin) of Montreal, PQ; stepchildren, Bill Gillcash (Marsha), Randy Gillcash (Jackie), Greg Gillcash (Bev), Dana Gillcash (Shannon) and Darwin Gillcash (Donde); 20 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Hume of Moncton; several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara (Hopper) Steeves (May 1991); stepson, Ralph Gillcash; brothers, Millard and Lawrence; sisters, Adelaide, Bernice, Bernadine, Daphna and Mildred.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to Celebrate Aulden’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 1:30 pm, with Rev. Dr. J. Richard Jackson and Rev. Delbert Bannister officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery, in the spring.
