RIDEOUT, Joan Bernice (nee Thorne)– Passed peacefully away at her home in Holyrood on Tuesday, January 20, 2009, age 66 years. Predeceased by her mother Evelyn Thorne (September, 2008), father Stanley Thorne (June, 1977) and brother Stanley Thorne Junior (March, 2008). Joan was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Left with fond and loving memories her husband Jacob; children: Carl Rideout (Jacqueline), Darla Crowley (Frank), Jacob Rideout Jr. (Nikki) and Tammy Pena (Danny); brother, Melvin Thorne (Marie), Nova Scotia; sisters: Glenda Stewart, (Gerry) Ontario, Lola Field (Les), Ontario, Shirley Sisson (Doug), California; her sister-in-law, Shirley Thorne, Ontario; grandchildren: Christopher, Jason, Chantille, Colin and Steven; five sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; also, a large circle of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to nurse Kim and caregiver Doris O’Brien. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews, on Wednesday and Thursday 2-9 p.m. and Friday 10-12 noon.
