SLADE, Louisa– Passed peacefully away at the Pentecostal Seniors Citizens Home, Clarke’s Beach on Wednesday, January 21, 2009, Louisa Slade of Salmon Cove in her 98th year. Predeceased by husband Ezekiel 1987, son Melvin and daughters Muriel and Millicent. Leaving to mourn one daughter Nina (Thomas) Crossman, Florida; one son Gerald (Ruth) Slade, Bell Island; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one sister Millicent Penney, Salmon Cove, also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL’S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, January 24 at 2:30 p.m. from Riverside United Church and Cemetery, Salmon Cove.
