Akerley, Marion E. – 97, of Port Greville passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Parkstone Enhanced Care (Garden Court), Halifax. Born in Port Greville, she was a daughter of the late Abram and Clodine (Cole) McCulley. She is survived by a daughter, Judith (David Kelly), Eastern Passage; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John in 1985; sisters, Blanche, Leota, Flossie, Stella, Reta, Margaret, Eva, Evelyn; brothers, Herbert, Leslie and in infancy, Ross, Carl and Charles. Visitation will be held at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro on Monday, April 13, 2015 from 12 to 2 p.m., where funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., Rev. Elizabeth Davies officiating. Burial in Grace United Cemetery, Port Greville at a later date.
