The death occurred peacefully at the Community Hospital, O’Leary, on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009, of Agnes Costain of Miminegash, aged 75 years. Beloved wife of Gordon Costain. She was born on Dec. 3, 1933, to the late Wilfred and Eva (Doucette) Gaudet. Cherished mother to Leonard, Kensington, Christine (Leigh) Perry, Pleasant View, Rose Arsenault, Bloomfield, Ernest (Theresa), Forest View, Sandra (Jerry) Gallant, Pleasant View, and Stephen (Diane), Ottawa, Ont. Loving grandmother to 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Dora (Leo) Ellsworth, Roseville, Edward, Miminegash, Edna (Wilbert) Gallant, Miminegash, Alice (Douglas) Guitare, Miminegash, Alvina (Julian) Arsenault, Mont Carmel, Helen (Urban) Cormier, St. Gilbert, Marie (Frank) Cormier, St. Hubert, and a sister-in-law, Sylvia Gaudet, Brockton. She is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Wanda, Lillian, Wendell (Verna), Nadyne, Charlene (Earl), Eileen (Bob), Vivian (Bill), Roma, Phyllis (Cornie), Freda (Cecil), Cheryl, Sylvie (Bennie), Connie (Patsy), Russell (Charlene), Orlie (Doreen), Mary (Ronnie), Audrey (Austie) and Noella (Claude). She was predeceased by her parents, Wilfred and Eva, brother, Edmond, father and mother-in-law, Donald and Rose Costain, son-in-law, Milton Arsenault, great-grandson, Carter Gallant, brothers-in-law, Bernie Latimer, Donald Costain, Dick Rice, nephews Barry and Emile Gallant, Leonard Guitare and Eldon Latimer. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road, for visitation on Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Saturday from 9 to 10 am. Funeral will be held Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, with funeral mass at 10:30 am. Interment in the church cemetery. Memorial donations to Home Care & Support would be greatly appreciated.
