It is with great sadness to announce the sudden passing of Elizabeth Bethune.
She was born in Leitches Creek and was the daughter of the late Hector and Margaret (MacMaster) MacIntyre.
Elizabeth was a graduate nurse and worked in North Sydney, Toronto, Montreal, and Victoria, B.C.
Predeceased by her husband David Bethune and two brothers Donnie and Angus and a sister Cecilia MacIntyre
Elizabeth is survived by her only daughter Donna Bethune (Derek Steele); brothers Norman MacIntyre Leitches Creek and Frankie (Ann Marie) Hurley; five sisters Marie (John) Delarge, Sarah Murphy, Alberta (Al) McCann all of Victoria B.C., and Catherine (John), Nabozniak Edmonton A.B and Rosemarie (Adrian) MacKinnon.
Elizabeth was a loving and devoted wife and mother. It was a great honor to care for my mother and I will cherish every memory.
A service will be held Saturday, April 18th 2015 at St. Joseph's Parish, North Sydney at 1 p.m. Recepetion to follow downstairs at St. Joseph's Parish.
Donations may be made to St. Joseph Parish or a charity of ones choice.
