Gerald 'Jerry' Peter, passed away suddenly at age 56 on April 6, 2015 while traveling in Jordan.
He was born on March 13, 1959 in Sydney, Nova Scotia to Daniel and Julia McPhee.
He is survived by his spouse, Elizabeth Yetisir; his step children Michael and Sezen Yetisir of Deep River; his sister Teresa McPhee of Salt Spring Island B.C.; his nephew Sean Crabtree and family of Santa Monica, California and many relatives in Nova Scotia.
After Jerry graduated from Dalhousie University, he worked for the Atomic Energy Commission of Canada in Deep River for 25 years until his retirement in 2010. In 2012, he moved to Vienna, Austria to work for the International Atomic Energy Agency as a Nuclear Safeguards Inspector.
Jerry will be remembered for his caring and generous nature and wonderfully quick sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by his family and wide circle of friends and colleagues. There will be a Celebration of Life memorial on April 25 in Deep River Ontario.
