
Margaret Dyck
Margaret Dyck of Swift Current, SK, passed away April 17, 2015 at the age of 95. The memorial service was held on April 23, 2015 from the chapel of Warren's Funeral Home with Reverend Annette Taylor officiating. The Interment Service was held at Mount Pleasant Burial Park in Swift Current, SK. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Joan (Lee) Wall, of Rocky Mountain House, AB; her sisters, Barbara (Cork) Peden of Calgary, AB, and Isobelle Clark of Moose Jaw, SK; brother-in-law Harry and sister-in-law Frances Dyck of Westbank, BC, and brother-in-law Arnold Dyck of Westbank, BC; sister-in-law Betty Dyke of Swift Current, SK; and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Alvin in 1970, her parents Alex and Margaret Sinclair, parents-in-law Abe and Margaret Dyck, brother Clyne Sinclair, sister-in-law Donna Sinclair, sister Madeline Larochelle and brother-in-law Paul Larochelle, brothers-in-law Bob Clark, Jake Dyck, and Walter Dyke, sister-in-law Adina Bailey and brother-in-law Jim Bailey, sister-in-law Eleanor Dyck, and Uncle Don and Aunt Gladys Baillie. Margaret was born December 13, 1919, in Tantallon, SK, and attended school in the Westerly School District and Beatty High School and continued her education, receiving her commercial bookkeeping certificate. Margaret Sinclair was united in marriage to Alvin Dyck on August 11, 1949 in Swift Current. Margaret was employed as a bookkeeper for the Co-op Creamery in Swift Current, and, for a short time as the bookkeeper for the creamery in Regina. She also did the books for McIntosh Furniture store and later did the books for the Imperial Oil Bulk Station in Swift Current until she retired. Margaret was a long time member of the UCW Group at First United Church and a member of the Clan and Tartan Society of Swift Current. She enjoyed square dancing, bowling, knitting and always had a Search-a-Word puzzle on the go. A special thank you to the staff of both the Swift Current Care Centre and the Prairie Pioneer Lodge for the excellent care you gave my mom you were her family. In her memory, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society. Warren's Funeral Home was in care of the arrangements.
