DUGGAN, AVIA M.
Milford - Avia M. (Gormley) Duggan, 92, of Milford passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at home with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Clyde C. Duggan who died in 1989.
Avia had worked at Liberty Mutual in Boston and later for the Internal Revenue Service in Andover.
She was born November 3, 1922 in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada the daughter of the late William and Marie (Meunier) Gormley.
A resident of Milford since 1973, Mrs. Duggan enjoyed time spent in Freedom, NH.
She is survived by her son Christopher C. and his wife Mary Fran Duggan of Bellingham; brothers, Kenneth Gormley of Summerville, New Brunswick, and Donald Gormley of Saint John, New Brunswick and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings John Gormley, William Gormley, Leo Gormley, and Marg Titus.
Visiting hours will be Monday April 27, 2015 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM in the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress St., Milford, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Mary’s Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cedar St., Rte 85, Milford.
