NEWHOOK, Hubert James — Passed peacefully away at home in his 81st year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Dorothy Lydia Newhook (nee Pitts). Leaving to mourn his loving family: son Lawrence; son Ronald and wife Carolyn; daughter Susan Milley and her children Heather MacDonald (her husband Jeff and their children Caitlin and Griffin) and Scott Milley; son Calvin and wife Lori and their children Grace and Sam; son Christopher and wife Lori and their children James and Charles; daughter Angela Spasiuk and husband Kevin and their children Joshua, Julia, and Sarah; son David and wife Caroline and their children Alice, Louise and Paul; sister Elizabeth Harvey and her husband Don, special friend Betty Simms and a large circle of family and friends. Predeceased as well by his brothers Ernest and Cleophas and sisters Bertha, Martha and Maud. Resting peacefully at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl. Visitations on Sunday from 7-9 p.m., Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral services at the Anglican Church of the Ascension, Mount Pearl on Tuesday at 2 p.m.. followed by interment at the Anglican cemetery, Kenmount Road, St. John’s.
