McLENAGHAN, WILFRED ALEXANDER
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Wilfred Alexander McLenaghan which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, April 27th, 2015. Born 1929, in Bay du Vin, NB, he was the son of the late Frederick and Cecelia (Dutcher) McLenaghan.
Wilfred worked for SMT as a Bus Driver for 43 years before retiring in 1994. He enjoyed gardening, picking berries, digging clams, he loved desserts and he especially loved spending time at his summer place in Hardwicke, NB. Papa was so fond of his cat Petey.
Wilfred is survived by his loving wife Arlene (Jenkins) of 60 years; son Ronald (Gordena) of Saint John; daughter Elaine Harris (Eugene) of Saint John; sisters Edith Dryden, Cecilia McCarron (Brian), Sylvia Brennan (John); brothers Thomas and Harry McClenaghan (Sonia); grandchildren Roni, Daryl, Vanessa, Crystal, and Trevor; special niece Marlene Molnar; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his parents, Wilfred was predeceased by his sister Edna Branscombe and brothers Alfred, Stanley, Harold, and Raymond.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Thursday, April 30th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Service with take place from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, May 1st at 11 a.m. followed by an interment at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
