EVANS, KATHERINE JEAN
It is with heavy hearts the family of K. Jean Evans announces her passing on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Ridgewood Veteran’s Wing. Born on May 3, 1916 in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Herbert G. and Katherine (Crawford) Evans and step-daughter of Ella (Crawford) Evans.
Jean was the last surviving member of her immediate family and will be missed by her niece, Marilyn Wray (Dane); a cousin, George Evans and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased by a brother, Richard “Dick” Evans; sister-in-law, Dorothy Evans; and several cousins.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Although there will be no visitation, family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Jean’s life at Westfield United Church on a Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at Old Cedar Hill Cemetery.
For those who wish remembrances made to Westfield United Church or Meals on Wheels would be appreciated by the family.
