CHAMBERS, JAMES DOUGLAS "DOUG"
James Douglas “Doug” Chambers, 93, of Sussex, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on May 2, 2015. Born in Sussex, he was a son of the late Irvine and Florence (nee Loughery) Chambers.
Doug was a member of St. Marks Anglican Church his whole life, and he was always very active within the church. He also enjoyed being a member of the Golden K.
Doug is survived by his wife Alberta Chambers (nee Greenlaw); his children: Florence Watson (Alexander) of Petersfield, England, DeEtta Jean Proctor (Aubrey) of Apohaqui, NB, and Patricia Squarebriggs (David) of Sussex, NB; his sister Jean Murray of Picadilly, NB; his grandchildren: Jane Proctor, Douglas Proctor, Sandy Watson, Jamie Watson (Vicki), Margot Squarebriggs (Randy Sjoquist), and Brook Beaman (Matthew); great-grandchildren: Ella, Grace, Gloria, Violet, Olivia, Alice, and Isabelle; as well as by many extended family members and friends.
Besides his parents, Doug is predeceased by his sister Ruth Jonah (Robert); his brothers: George Chambers (Pauline) and Leonard Chambers (Emma); and his brother-in-law Lloyd Murray.
Arrangements were entrusted to the professional care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex (506-433-2133). A private family service will be held at a later date by request.
Donations to the St. Marks Anglican Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
