MACNAIR, DAWN MAY ANN
Dawn May Ann MacNair passed away suddenly at the University Hospital in London, Ontario on April 20, 2015 due to complications from internal bleeding. She was 58.
Dawn was born on July 5, 1956 in Chatham, N.B. to her parents, Gordon Everett MacNair and Joan Violet MacNair (nee Paulson). She studied at St. Lawrence College and graduated from the Dalhousie Regional Complex in 1974. Dawn moved to Ontario and worked for a number of years in Toronto in the film industry as a production accountant and subsequently moved to London where she held various bookkeeping positions.
Dawn was dedicated to helping the less fortunate and devoted her time to assisting those in need. It was not uncommon for her to bring people to her home where she fed and nurtured them. Dawn was also a doting Auntie to her two nieces, Brenna and Laura MacNair, who brought lots of joy to her life.
Dawn is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Gordie and Penny MacNair of Ottawa, ON and stepsister, Donna McGuire of Moncton, N.B. She is preceded in death by her father, mother; brother, “Buddy” Wayne John MacNair; and her infant son, Stefan.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Dawn’s life will be held in a public ceremony on August 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the United Church Cemetery in New Mills, NB. All are welcome to attend. A reception will follow at the Bonaventure Motel & Cabins.
