All you wanted was grandkid number three,
and for this you often looked to me.
I thought that there was lots of time,
and reluctantly you said 'that's fine'.
It breaks my heart and kills me so,
that my loving daddy will never know,
about the one who changed my world;
my amazing, beautiful baby girl.
I tell her about you every day.
I never run out of things to say.
"If poppy were here he'd be so proud,
and for you he'd cheer so loud;
if you were first or sixty-three,
cause that is what he did for me.
I'm sorry sweety cause you've been robbed,
and for this fact I've often sobbed.
He was a soft hearted, one of a kind man,
and he would have been your biggest fan."
Although you've passed you're never gone,
cause in all of us you will live on.
Your amazing grandkids and the ones to be,
will always know of their Poppy E.
