1918-2009
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jean (Buddie) Myers, of Parkwest Lodge and formerly of Cornwall, on Saturday, January 24, 2009. Born in Crapaud on the family farm on MacDonald Road, Jean was the eldest daughter of Frank and Margaret MacDonald. Jean is survived by her daughter Sheila Estabrooks and son-in-law Mark, Earltown Lake, N.S. In 2003, Jean was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Ralph Edison. Her son John Franklin (Jack) predeceased her in 2001 and her daughter Katharyn Mildred Lea in 1983. A very proud grandmother of Jack’s children Jennifer, Jacqueline, Angela, John and Mike Myers; Kathy’s children David, Ralph and Kirk Lea; and Sheila’s children Craig Smith and Jaclyn MacPherson. Jean is survived by her brother Norman (Ruth) MacDonald, Crapaud, and sister Margaret (Randy) Watts, Sudbury, Ont. She was predeceased by her sister Annalea Weeks. We are more grateful to our friends and neighbours for their strong and steady support during the years and many thanks to Mom’s faithful friend, Sandra Perry. Resting at the Dawson Funeral Home, Crapaud, with visitation on Monday, January 26, 2009, 6-9, and Tuesday, January 27, 2009, from 1 until time of service. Funeral service from Dawson Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Interment later in Crapaud People’s Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations may be made the Crapaud People’s Cemetery, QEH Foundation (Oncology Department), or charity of choice.
