MRS. GRACE HAY (nee MILLER), age 88, of Moose Jaw passed away on May 5, 2015. Grace was born and raised in Avonlea. She graduated from the Moose Jaw Union Hospital nursing school in 1946. While nursing, Grace met Gilbert Hay of Rowletta. Married in 1949, they farmed near Rowletta for 30 years before retiring to Moose Jaw. Grace enjoyed curling, baseball and bridge among other social activities both while living on the farm and in Moose Jaw. Grace was also an active member of the Cosmo for many years. Predeceased by her parents Effie and John; three brothers, Raymond, Russell and Percy and her sister, Mildred, Grace is survived by her two loving sons: Larry of Ottawa, Cameron of Vancouver; three grandchildren: Vanessa (Garth) of Weyburn, Rhiannon (Mike) of Ottawa, Celyn of Ottawa; two great-granddaughters: Naté and Neressa of Weyburn; and her sister-in-law and best friend, Pearl Miller. The Funeral Service will be held at W.J. Jones & Son Chapel on Friday May 8, 2015 at 1:30 pm. Reverend David Moore will officiate. Interment will take place privately at Rosedale Cemetery.
