BLAIR, Sandra Anita – 70, Truro, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro. Born April 29, 1945, in Upper Economy, she was a daughter of the late Addison and Marguerite (Pettigrew) Sutherland. She worked at Stanfield’s for many years and retired from there in 2011. She enjoyed making ceramics and her signature was “Saw Buck”. Sandra is survived by her daughters, Lynne (Todd) Blair-Kaye, Alberta; Kathleen (Arol) Johnson, Denmark, Colchester County; Anita (Robert) Geddes, Hilden; Gina Sutherland, Toronto; four grandchildren; sister, Linda (Bev) Burton, Glenholme; cousin, Robert “Bob” (Merle) Pettigrew, Hilden. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Russell Lewis Blair (1985); son, William Russell Blair, (1988); grandson, Austin James Blair (2004). Private graveside interment will be held at a later date. If so desired, donations in Sandra’s memory to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia are welcomed.
