It is will great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Helen (LeBlanc) Cholock on Monday May 18, 2015 at the Northside General Hospital , with her four children by her side.
Born in Sydney Mines Helen was the daughter of the late Simon and Georgina (Fortune) LeBlanc.
Helen was happiest when spending time with her family; she always looked forward to family gatherings. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her third great grandchild. Christmas was Helen’s favorite holiday; she always looked forward to decorating every year. When not spending time with her children and grandchildren Helen could be found spending time with her sister-in–law and best friend Carmie Cholock.
Helen is survived by her three sons, David (Nancy), Wayne (Suzie), Michael (Karen) and her only daughter Gwenna (Archie) Jessome. Grandchildren, Jennine (Roger), Adam (Stefani), Ryan (Jessica), Jordan (Erica), Jonathan (Shelby), Cassandra (Matt), Beth (Alex), Brooke, Katie, Jessie and Gracie. Along with great grandchildren, Bella and Hunter. Siblings Dorothy (Marvin), Mary, Pat (Yvonne), Valerie, Nora, Wayne, Lawrence, Brian (Dena) Frankie (Gail), Greg, and Aunt Lizzie Thomas, along with many special sister and brother-in-laws and nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents Helen was predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years George. Brothers David and John. Along with a brother-in-law Tommy Capstick.
Visitation for Helen Cholock will be held at J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St. Sydney Mines, on Wednesday May 20, 2015, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral to celebrate her life will be held Thursday May 21, 2015 at 10 a.m., at Holy Family Church Sydney Mines, with Fr. Everett MacDow officiating.
